Originally founded in 2019 in Hudson, Wisconsin, our company has gone through several name and management changes over the years — which at times left customers unsure of who we were.
In 2025, under new management, we made the decision to simplify everything: one name, one standard of service, and one clear goal — to serve Wisconsin’s rural and small-town communities with dependable, professional transportation.
Today, Go Rural Taxi proudly operates across western Wisconsin and parts of Minnesota, focusing on smaller cities and remote areas — not the busy metro markets like Minneapolis or St. Paul.
Whether you need a ride across town, to the airport, or back home from the city, you can count on Go Rural Taxi to be there — connecting rural communities, one ride at a time.

Where Go Rural Taxi Comes From
Go Rural Taxi originally began in the Danbury, Wisconsin area. As we continue to grow, we’re proud to bring several independent operators together under one banner — including Out of State Taxi Ride Taxi, and 715 Taxi Cab— all becoming part of Go Rural Taxi.
About us
Branding and Operations
No immediate changes: For now, nothing is changing in terms of rates, services, or customer process.
Rebranding phase: The full switch from Out-of-State Rides & 715 Taxicab to Go Rural Taxi will happen gradually.
Customer Phone Calls
How calls are answered: Until the rebranding is fully complete, the dispatcher/counselor will continue to answer the phone as “Out-of-State Rides” (the familiar name customers already know).
Why: This avoids confusion during the transition and ensures repeat customers recognize they’ve reached the right company.
Future Change
Once the rebranding is finished, phone calls will be answered under the new company name Go Rural Taxi. At that point, all signage, business cards, and digital listings will align with the new brand.
